What is the best solutions for finding and downloading the proper dirver for a laptop?

Now days most laptops are coming with Windows Vista drivers only. and even if we brawase the manufacturer web site such like HP, or DELL we only see Vista Drivers.
However if we look some where and do some googling we might find some or all of them but it really takes time.

Is there a solution to find XP drivers for x laptop within an our lets say!

As an example, let's start with my laptop DELL STUDIO 1535, all drivers that came with the laptop are for Vista. But it took me more than two weeks find some of the drivers for XP. Now I have all the drivers except Bluetooth and FingerPrint Driver!  AND STILL LOOKING FOR THEM...

[My main concern is:      I am running a small shop for computer services, and therefore I do need this solution ASAP.]

thanks,

I use driveragent.com whenever I wipe and reload a box. It does a scan of your hardware and gives you links right to a download. You need to have the network driver before-hand, but it will usually find the rest. It isn't free but if you do computer repair it's probably worth it.

Thanks,

It is concentrating on updating the drivers only rather than finding the missing drivers.

I tried it on my own laptop for my missing two drivers Fingerprint and Bluetooth and it couldn't provide any!

I work for a small business that does a lot of downgrading (people go out and buy Vista from the store and are unhappy). I use the above script and it usually works great - if it is downgradeable.
Another thing to try is to google downgrade laptop model. Sometimes you will find people that have done it and have all the drivers in one location!
Hope this helps!

Dear,

I've found these names in the device manager list, and googled them fo find xp driver but couldn't.

vendor 08ff device 2810
vendor 0886   device 283E
ACPI\ITE8708\4&32862D04&0

Is there a sort of a data base where I type them in and find the propel drivers?

vendor 08ff device 2810 - Authentec FingerPrint Reader

vendor 0886   device 283E - United Microelectronics (UMC) - 82801H ICH8 Family SMBus Controller

Here is a link to a site for the drivers:
http://www.getpcmemory.com/drivers/download-dell-studio-1535-windows-xp-drivers/
For the future my script works fairly well, but, as in this case not perfect. One thing that works occasionally is Googleing "%Computer Model% Downgrade" You get lucky sometimes. And there is always IT's driveragent.com (Which if you are in small business is a good investment!)
Hope this helps! Let us know if the site I gave doesn't get them all!

For the SMBus I would try the Chipset and for the ACPI I would try the webcam. Grab any driver that it looks like you haven't installed!

In some cases you need to recognize that there are no XP drivers for the device in question.  The manufacturer of the product has not designed a driver for it.  I have several devices like this.

RDAdams - Sometimes that is very true, but I believe that with the site I found should have it. The issue is that Authentec's website has no drivers! Don't give up quite yet!

well actually I haven't gave up yet and this why I am pasting it here.
FYI now every thing is running for XP except the above mentioned drivers which are:
1. Finger Print. 2. Bluetooth. 3. some thing related to system bus ( I have no idea what it is)!

Sorry, didn't realize my previous post were broken links!
Bluetooth - Try this (it is your model of Bluetooth Card on a different Dell):
http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/Other-DRIVERS-TOOLS/Others/Dell-Precision-M2400-Wireless-370-Bluetooth-Minicard-Application-A06.shtml
Try the infared download for the missing ACPI device (ACPI is hard to figure out, this could work for you):
http://www.laptops-drivers.com/laptop-news/installing-windows-xp-in-dell-studio-1535.html
(They make you wait 60 seconds but the download works)
I found out that this should work for your Fingerprint Reader:
"Fingerprint scanner Authentec AES2810 driver can be used with the drivers of a Lenovo Thinkpad T500"
 http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-70598.html
Hope this helps!

Software is any set of instructions that directs a computer to perform specific tasks or operations. Computer software consists of programs, libraries and related non-executable data (such as documentation). Computer software is non-tangible, contrasted with computer hardware, which is the physical component of computers. Software written in a machine language is known as "machine code". However, in practice, software is usually written in high-level programming languages than machine language. High-level languages are translated into machine language using a compiler or interpreter or a combination of the two.
