crm file size - planning question for attachments

Hello,

We have some custom entities that we would like to attach photos to - however, I'm concerned about size constraints, i.e. getting a huge database with these.

1.  Is there a way to limit attachment size so users can only attach small photos?
2.  From a planning perspective, any other suggestions on a good way to manage this?  Our first run at this could end up being ~3000 photos, and that's just for the initial rollout - could be much higher in the future.
