Using Quickbooks, anyone know how to import checking statements?

The client is terrible about entering their checking transactions in Quickbooks. They have a lot of additional service fees from the bank as well that aren't discovered until looking at a statement.   Does anyone know a way to import/get data from a checking account into Quickbooks?   Thank you.

Thanks but I tried using an Excel query to import from the online accounts and then bring into QuickBooks along with trying the Quickbooks import feature. Quickbooks does not seem at all good at importing or exporting data from bank to bank registers. Even a simple export to an Excel file is messy.  Their feature seems to work well with lists such as customers, item lists, etc but not activity such as register activity. I figure somebody must be bringing their checking account activity from their banking online into quickbooks and have an answer.  We're hand keying right now. Open to any other suggestions.

Right idea but there are a lot of problems with this task. I appreciate the members effort to help.

Importing data into Quickbooks using an IIF file works, but building the process is tricky. I'm currently working on something similar.
