Quickbooks 2006 Company File Won't Open
Hello,
Had a new customer call today with a 5-user company file that will no longer open, they are unsure if they have backups.
I try to open the file and it either freezes upon putting in a username and password, or it gives an error that it cannot find the database server. I have copied the file to my own laptop and get the same error or the freeze as well.
I would like to try a rebuild or a verify of data. How can I do that f I can't get it to open?

Yes, there was really no hope. Had to get the QBB as you said.
