There is a freeware tool <a href="http://www.ctrl-alt-del.com.au/CAD_Utils.htm" rel="ugc">here</a> called &quot;RemProf&quot; that is designed as a replacement for DelProf. &nbsp;I haven't tested to see if it will accept wildcards in the username switch, but it might; alternatively, some of the other options might make for a usable workaround (i.e. delete profiles with no associated user account).<br />

I've sent an e-mail to Ctrl-Alt-Del ® IT Consultancy asking about whether RemProf accepts wildcards; I'll post back and let you know if and when they respond. &nbsp;(In the mean time, you may want to download it and give it a try yourself.)<br />

You could write a batch the deletes the profiles and run it at as a scheduled task on the PC with the proper credentials.

StrigeJester: I currently use delprof in a batch file to delete any profiles older than 15 days but I need to exclude certain profiles from being deleted. While one could normally exclude one or two profiles, I need to exclude around 3,500. Because all of these profiles start with the same character, I think it would be easier to exclude the profiles by using a wildcard mask. I just do not know how to do that.

Are you deleting user accounts as well as profiles? &nbsp;If so, you could use the RemProf switch to delete profiles that have no associated user account.<br />

I have not heard back from CAD Consultancy yet. &nbsp;It is possible that they will be helpful; the last time I sent them an e-mail, Warren Simondson (the author of many of their freeware tools) responded to me, and wrote a new version of one of the tools to add functionality that I was asking about.<br />

If neither of these helps, then perhaps we can set up a script of some kind (maybe something starting like <a href="http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAEXT/How+to+export+a+list+of+users+from+Active+Directory" rel="ugc nofollow">this</a>) that will extract a list of usernames from AD, then feed them one at a time to either RemProf or DelProf using variables and a loop (FOR or WHILE, probably). &nbsp;(This could get a little complex, so I'd say hold off on that and see what comes of other options ... )<br />

We are not deleting user accounts. Just the profiles. I couldn't ever find a switch to do anything like that in remprof. Have you heard back from them?

Unfortunately I haven't heard back from them yet. &nbsp;In all fairness, it is a freeware utility and they're under no obligation to offer any support; I was just hoping to get lucky a second time ... :\<br />

On the other hand, they do now offer a paid suite of utilities. &nbsp;You might want to contact their sales department, explain what you need, and see if they can make a deal with you.<br />

In the mean time, I'll do some research and see if there might be any other similar utilities out there ...<br />
