Sony Laptop BIOS time is wrong/resets

Hi. I've got a user with a Sony VGN-BZ560 laptop.  It's got XP Pro SP3 installed, it's a fairly new machine, 6 months old or less.  The system clock will not stay current, the time is early by 1 hour.  So if right now it's 9:00 am PST, it says it's 8:00 am PST.  Observe DST is on, I've also tried it off.  I tried to install the XP Update for DST and it said the files were not compatible with the machine.  I check the BIOS and the tmie is wrong in the BIOS I reset the time to be correct and save the configuration and reboot, and when XP loads the time is wrong again.  I restart and go back into BIOS and BIOS time is wrong again.  My guess is the BIOS needs to be updated because the current version appears to be following the old DST schedule.  I checked the Sony support website and the only BIOS update available says it addresses a BIOS password reset issue, no mention of a BIOS clock issue.  Any ideas?

Thanks RID, I didn't think it would be a good idea to do the BIOS update.  Good to know that it's likely the BIOS doesn't have a DST adjustment anyways.

Where should I check for the windows setting that causes the check call to a time server?
