Can Microsoft Word take text and put it into Syllables?
Hello,
I would like to be able to take text (say a sentence or paragraph) and have word divide it into syllables using the CND dictionary standards. Online dictionaries have too much varients so I am using Word 2007 Canadian Dictionary as my standard.
I would like to take text like: I love chocolate and by using a macro or something have word process the text and put it into: I love choc - o - late
or something like that.
Any help on how to do this would be appreciated.

I just want to proof poetry and songs to see if it's actually correct. The document is just for temporary usage to check if my song is actually correctly hyphonated. How do I turn on hyphanation?
In my copy of Word, I can use
Tools > Language > Hyphenation...
As far as I know, hyphenation only takes place at syllable breaks (though there may be some unusual exceptions).

This does not work as it will hyphenate at the end of the line. Not break individual words into hyphens.
Well, my idea was to make the document so narrow that it each word is at the end of a line. It's not a simple solution, only an idea in a situation where ideas seem to be rather scarce :-)

I cant get the margins smaller than .5 because that is the limit set in word. I almost think I'm out of options here.

About the only thing I can think of is to turn on automatic hypenation and copy the sentence into a document that is very narrow. You could them (perhaps) convert each soft hyphen into <space> <dash> <space>. I started looking into this to see if it were practical or even possible, but it seems that I did not install the hypenation feature when I installed Word (and I can't put my finger on the disk right now).
