installing BlackBerry Professional Software on windows 2008 network

My client has Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition (x64) & Exchange 2007 installed on a Dell server. Needs Blackberry Professional server software installing with 4 user CALs.

From other posts, I understand that BES can't be installed on a server running Windows 2008. What are the options available?

(1) Can a separate XPpro box be configured as BES server in this network?
(2) or, does it have to be a Windows 2003 Standard box?

Detailed installation steps will be highly appreciated.

Thanks both for your prompt responses. I'll pursue the XPpro install on cost grounds.

I'll follow the steps below:
(1) on Windows2008/Exchange2007 Server, create BESadmin, set permissions etc;
(2) prep XPP box as member of domain/logon with BESadmin;
(3) install MAPI client on XPP box : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=e17e7f31-079a-43a9-bff2-0a110307611e&DisplayLang=en
(4)  install BESprofessional on XPP box with local SQL Express install & instance

 However from other posts it seems that XPP is not supported by RIM? Also there are people saying some of the required services eg. Blackberry Router will not start? Any help on this will be appreciated.

Best option is to install Exchange 2007 in the 2008 server, create a hyperV machine, download and install the 64 bit 2003 server on a 180 day evaluation from microsoft, install BES in the VM. then wait until BES is supported on 2008 server. (take a snapshot so you can keep restoring before the evaluation peiod runs out)
