Many programmers use special "run time" packing type of software to compile the executable files. Many of those programmers are the folks who distribute their "creations" over P-2-P networks. I don't say that all of them carry the spyware, but I have seen many. My anti-virus software detects "runtime packed" files frequently since I use P-2-P networks. I believe that those files present no danger unless they are packed with spyware.
Make sure you have good anti-spyware product. Don't use McAfee or Symantec - they are among the weakest. I just began using a new product from Sunbelt Software called VIPRE. I was amazed: it has discovered 12 hidden trojans that were never detected by my favorite AVG. So far, I am still evaluating it but already like ($29.95 to buy)

Thanks zbatia but customer has already bought the SEP 11, prior to my arrival.
If you got the cleanwipe tool from a legitimate source ( the link above or from symantec ) it should be a false detection
