Citrix XenServer 5.0 Create *.ICA Published App Files?

We are a system builder and new to Citrix.  We partnered with a local IT group claiming to be up on the latest and greatest with Citrix XenServer 5 running on Windows 2008.  For the most part it works okay but can only see published apps via the web so their workaround was creating individual program ICA files for remote and LAN app use.  We had to part ways.  Do I just use the ICA file creator on Citrix's site to create these?  Dump all apps using the remote or LAN IP address of the server for each application?  Like Word, Acrobat, etc.
Thanks!

Lockdown and publish the server's desktop or use PNAgent.  Create a XenApp services site, point the PNAgent to it and the applications will magically appear on each users PC (if the user has rights to the apps).

Have a look at this:

We configured XenApp for Web access with HTTPS.  Works good.  Did not see the "lock down" and PNAgent was more than we needed.  Question was - how do you create standalone *.ica shortcut links?  Thanks for the links and such.  Seems like Citrix is a bit baffling for most.

That's what I was after!  Nice.  We partnered with a Citrix Tech that didn't know this stuff.  No fun as we are new to Citrix - simply a MS shop.  The web would show up but not HTTPS.  You could log in and click a app.  It would bomb out.  I fixed that with some Citrix external web settings - works good now.  Actually, more simple than I expected but do agree - not supported as the web seems optimal and everything shows up properly without futzing around.  <smile>  Thanks!  This gets a "accept"!
This is the best money I have ever spent. I cannot not tell you how many times these folks have saved my bacon. I learn so much from the contributors.
