OCS groups

is there any way that I can build OCS contact groups within OCS so that when the users access office communicator, they do not have to add contacts and create groups on their own?

Are you talking about internal or external users? If internal, you can use distribution groups. I would assume the same thing would work for external users also. I have never tried it.

At this point, we are using it "internal" only.

so what you are saying is that the user will not have to add contacts on their own?  These distribution groups will show up in their office communicator, and they will contain each member as individual contacts?

yes, just go to your ocs search window and type in any distribution list you have for ex: "All Employees", you can drag and drop it into your OCS client.

Thanks

I'm cool w/ that.................

But what I really want is to be able to build the groups in OCS (example: marketing, IT, finance, accounting) and put all fo the users into their respective groups so that the first time someone opens their OC, the groups and people are already there.
