Translating a Website into a different Language

Hi All,

How would you suggest a means of providing a website in different languages accurately?

Would it literally be to supply different versions of the content and then depending on the domain, the app would deliver the relevant translation?

Or are their 'on the fly' services that provide an accurate translation that could be integrated with my asp.net app?

One thing to bear in mind would be that my site will have private authenticated areas too.

Many thanks,
