R1 to R2 is not really an upgrade but almost a different product.
You also need to upgrade CR XI to CR XI R2

What else do I need to upgrade? The CR Server? or InfoView? and where would I find it or is that seperate software I would have to get internally (in my company)
a litttle background...
I was hired as a Reports Analyst, which I know very well. However shortly after I started, our DBA quit and has not been replaced. Therefore, I have to try to manage my CR Server (Upgrades, Service Packs,etc...) all myself and do not truely have the experience necessary. We have these teams of people for everything and was recently given Crytal Reports XI R2 to install on my machine. THe Crystal Reports Server sits on my deck on a regular workstation and I can install the R2 on that as well, but right now that is the only way I can get to the files in InfoView since the upgrade.
Thank you very much for reading. What exactly do I need to upgrade now?
That makes sense. Is that something someone with experience should do?
I have a feeling it is not as simple as an uninstall and install.
I have the Whilte Paper from BO titled Crystal Reports Server XI R2 Migrating your Deployment from version XI to XI Release 2. I read it and it sounds complex.
Has anyone done this? Does anyone have any words of advice or information that would be helpful?
I would appreciate any sugesstions.
