Giving Self "Write Personal Information" permissions on AdminSDHolder Account

Hello,

I need to have everyone have "Write Personal Information" in the Self account in order to allow them to add delegates in Outlook.

When I do this in each account, they do not stay probably because the AdminSDHolder account does not have them.

Can someone tell me how I can add this to AdminSDHolder in order for it to replicate to everyone else?

Thanks,

Dustin

I'm not a permissions expert but for some reason all of our permissions changed to some default and we are not aware of what they were before. They even changed back after changing them.

Our users are not members of administrators, account operators, etc. But under the security tab is has all of those groups listed. Even domain admins is listed. Is this normal? I have nothing to compare it with and I'm a little concerned.

Anyways, to fix my original problem, I just gave full control to Self in AdminSDHolder and it resolved all the problems for now until we can find out what's going on with the permission problems.

Did you try the hotfix?
This is the best money I have ever spent. I cannot not tell you how many times these folks have saved my bacon. I learn so much from the contributors.

But it's server related not Outlook related.

All of our permissions are messed up on the server. No one could add delegates because the Self permission did not have Write Personal Information checked.

The admins could still add delegates because they had all the permissions.

In case you missed it

Issues that the hotfix package fixes

Consider the following scenario. User B has full mailbox access to user A's mailbox. User B logs on to user A's mailbox. User B successfully adds a delegate to user A's mailbox. However, when the delegate tries to send an e-mail message on behalf of user A, the delegate receives the following error message:

You do not have the permission to send this message on behalf of the specified user.
