Templates saved to Normal .dot in Office 2007

In 2003 office I can make changes to a template and then save those changes to the Normal Template.  Is there a way to do this in 2007?

If you make changes to a different document is there a way to easily import those changes to the Normal Template or must those changes be made within the Normal Template itself?

It depends what the changes are. Document content can be cut and pasted. Styles and macros can be copied using Organizer.
