I have a Raid-1 with two 67.75 GB drives mirrored for the C: of 12GB and the E: of 55.6GB. I am running out of space on C: and need a solution. I have a 300GB drive I could add to the Raid-1 but am not sure if that is possible. This is a working production server and would like a solution that will not cause data loss if possible. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

From windows we usually move all of the $NtUninstallKB *$ files to another drive.
We also move the i386 folder and ServicePackFiles.
You can always move them back if you need to uninstall.
But that makes the administration more complex because the conts of your C-drive are spread on other disks.
First I would check which folder consumes most disk space and then check if there are a lot of temporary files, windows updates and so on (e. g. with Spacemonger)
I dont believe the IIS log files are stored on the C-drive.

OK, then you should check which directory are consuming the most space as stated above and then check which one can be moved, to get some time. That's only a temporary solution.
If you have only one 300GB drive you cannot extend the RAID array, you would need at least two drives of it. Do you use the RAID function of the controller or a software RAID?
If I had two 300 GB drives I could then extend the RAID array?

What is possible depends on if you're using a software or hardware RAID, and if it's a hardware RAID which controller you are using.
Also I don't think that this can be done completely while the server is running. So I sounds like work for a night or a weekend when nobody needs the server and after the backup is finished successfully.

would Partition magic work if I moved everything off of E:, deleted the it then had C: take up the free space on the Raid? I could then take part of the D: drive and create a new E: and move things back. Is this a possible solution?
That may work if Partition Magic runs on your server and recognizes the partitions, and then you don't need to delete anything and copy it back because Partition Magic should be able to resize the partition. Although this works most times without any problem, never do that until you have a full backup und shut down all services (Exchange, SQL, IIS, etc.) that are not necessary for the operating system itself before trying to resize the disks to reduce the I/O on the disks during this procedure.

Ok I found Acronis disk director server 10.0 and it says it works with Server 2003. Has anyone used this software before?
