Sheilding for CAT5 LAN Cable Runs

I have inherited a problem.

To "save money", the company had the maintenance guys run new CAT5 lines.  The 3 months I've been here I hear something about once a week about switching to these new lines.  The problem is that when I checked out the lines, they are run within inches of the flourescent lights that run down the office central hall.  There's only about 6 inches from the drop ceiling to the real ceiling, so there's not any room to move the lines away from the lights.  Also, re-running these lines with shielded CAT5 has already been shot down by the boss.

Does anyone know of a product that I can use to "wrap" the lines or the lights that will provide a shield from the EMF?

I'd like to be able to salvage these runs or prove that re-running the lines with shielding is less costly.
