use case model is "interaction between an actor and the system?" or "interaction among various objects in the system"

Hello emeraldpiggy,

It depicts system usage by various actors .. Closer to former the difference being there could be multiple actors involved.

"The main purpose of a use case diagram is to show what system functions are performed for which actors. Roles of the actors in the system can be depicted."
