error opening installation log file vista

Every time I try to add a plugin or update software or run an active-x control, everything goes well in vista until I try to run from the download area and it get the error that "error opening installation log file. Verify that the specified log file exists and is writable". Help!

Hello dvybby,

Make sure that you have ample permission to perform writing of the log file onto the system, seems like lack of priveleges cause the problem.
