telnet gmail

Hi

Is it possible to access GMail through telnet.

I want to execute some commands before downloading the emails.
I want to delete al messages older then 1 day on the gmail-server and the download the messages.

yes it is possible.  However gmail doesnt use the standard ports.  This article may help you get started:
