Hi AAppleton

The SBS console is launched by Task Scheduler. You can disable the auto-start of the console by opening Task Scheduler, drilling down to Microsoft > Windows > Windows SBS and then disabling or deleting the 'Console' task.

Netometer has a nice walkthrough on how to do this: http://www.netometer.com/video/tutorials/disable-sbs-2008-console-automatic-startup/step1/index.php

No problem - it is hidden away in there, and is the last place many people would consider checking!
