Event ID 1000 Source Application error winword.exe

When opening a word document i get an error and Word closes,
Error Information;
faulting application winword.exe, version 9.0.0.2717, Faulting module winword.exe, version9.0.0.2717, fault address 0x00a7f7e

I have re-installed office 2000, register the dll file and no resolt

The user was experience IE7 trouble, but had the same winword.exe event error. Do you have some word add-ins, such as PDF creator, Printer, Google software, etc, that might be causing this? If so or to check, run word in safe mode:

Thanx for the help, the first link was the trick, needed to clean the word,
