Search fields in webpages are small after upgrading to IE8

After upgrading from IE7 to IE8 the search fields and user id\password fields in some webpages are very small. So small that the text is unreadable. How can I fix this? I looked through all IE8 advanced settings and cannot foguire it out. Thank you.

I am running  Windows XP SP3 32-bit

Move your mouse pointer over the place where you have the user name and password in an IE page and hold control and rotate the mouse wheel, this will help you increase and decease the size of the box....

Hope this helps....
Moving the wheel towards you will increase and moving the wheel towards your monitor or opposite to you will decrease.
