Problems changing expired password in Outlook

We have an interesting setup at our company.(At least I think it is)  Our 2003 exchange server is on a seperate domain from the workstations.  If a password expires, the user will open Outlook 2003 and put in their credentials, and it will continue to ask them for their username and password and never ask them to change it like it should.  If a user though goes to OWA they of course can go there to change the password.  Is there some sort of fix to solve this?

Hi, the best thing you can do about it is, notify the users when their password is about to expire.

Here is the site which contains the script which you can use to send the password expiry alert mails to users automatically.

Do you require any other assistance in setting up the script through group policy.
