I am testing moving system database to new drive since my production has these database movement planned for weekend. 
While trying to change start up parameters to move master database the SQL SERVER &lt;OFFICESERVER&gt; status is stuck up at &quot;starting&quot; and could not start or restart.. 
When checked in SSCM the status shows change pending&quot;..So I tried reconfiguring my start up parameters and reverted back to paarmeters: 
-dC:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office Servers\12.0\Data\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\DATA\master.mdf;-eC:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office Servers\12.0\Data\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\LOG\ERRORLOG;-lC:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office Servers\12.0\Data\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\DATA\mastlog.ldf 
 
My SLQ instance shown in services.msc is : 
service name MSSQL$OFFICESERVERS 
Excutable path :

SQL 2005 Services  instance status stuck up
