Free Busy Information Unavailable for One User

Whenever you schedule this one particular user for a meeting, her free\busy information shows as not available.  This problem seems to have started about the time someone added (IIT) to her display name in Active Directory.  We have re-created her Outlook profile, run Clean Free Busy numerous times and I have changed her display name back to the way it was in AD.   No one else is having problems with free\busy info showing up.  Correction, we now know one more user who has the same initials and had (Library) put at the end of their name in the Display name field appears to have the same problem.  Has anyone run into this before ??  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

As a start, try the following from the user PC.

    * Close Outlook

    * Click Start, Run, enter "start outlook /cleanfreebusy" and click OK

    * Outlook will start, generate the Free/Busy information from the Outlook calendar and republish it to Exchange within 5 minutes. It will overwrite any existing Free/Busy message or publish a new one if it doesn't exist.

If this doesn't work, Please refer to the following link to use UpdateFB.exe to publish the free busy information for users.

We have run the Start - Run - outlook /cleanfreebusy numerous times already to no avail.

I checked out the suggested link and was disappointed to find that -

Important Microsoft does not support this utility. The use of this utility may corrupt your free/busy information. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems caused by the utility can be fixed.

Will continue to review the link, but am very hesitant to run an unsupported MS utility on a production Exchange system.

I have additional information.  If I look at the hidden system table Schedule Free\Busy and find the user's entry and double click on it, I get Page Not Found and I am also unable to delete it.  Is the  UpdateFB.exe  still the fix for this??  Thanks.

Have now found at least 8 other users who have "free busy not available".  All return the Page Not found when viewing the schedule+free busy system folder.  I'm beginning to think that in itself (page not found" may not be a problem in itself, but that these clients are not able to publish their free busy information.  But the infamous Start- Run outlook.exe /cleanfreebusy never returns any errors.

Also, there is an MSExchangeFBPublish Event 8207 error 0x80004005 that has been showing up every day since our mail stores were moved to new SANS drives.   Where would I check to see that things are hooked up correctly for this free busy publish process??  Thanks.

Epilogue - Opened a case with Microsoft.  After about 4 webex session the case was escalated then after 1 more webex session the analyst instructed me to run the ISINTEG utility against the public folder store.  After doing that any user who had the problem could resolve their issue by closing Outlook and clicking Start->Run Outlook /cleanfreebusy.
