I migrate a lot os users onto new profiles, for example replacing machines or having for format and reload their workstation. I am trying to work out how to backup the e-mail address MRU which store previously typed address's.
I try to advise that contacts should be stored in the contact folder, but it's rare people do this.

Any ideas?

I believe you are tlaking about the NK2 file. C:\Documents and Settings\**UserID**\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

Importing this to the new machine should bring over the recently used addresses.

All you need to to is copy this file to the new machine or rename this file to the new profile name close and reopen outlook and you should have their email addresses back.

You have the option to "hide file extensions for known types" set. If you turn that option off Im pretty sure you will see that the CB file has a NK2 extension.
