I'm a relative newbie to Lotus Notes, so forgive this question.  I am simply trying to populate a column in a view with field data from another Notes database on the same server.  Both databases have the key field "Base".   Is this possible  or does a field have to be added to the form??

A view cannot show data caintained in another database.
You may need to copy certain fields from documents in that other database to existing/new documents in the current database to accomplish that.
Alternatively, you could use a page or form in the current database, containing an emvedded view. That embedded view may reside in another database!
