I have an issue.  I know how to resolve with exchange 2003, but not 2007.  Customer has a few copiers all with scan to email.  they are set up to SMTP to the exchange server (2007) without any authentication.  If the customers scans to an internal email address, it works fine.  If they scan to an outside email address, it errors out immediately.  I suspect it cannot relay to the outside.  I have looked up a few web site and read through them, but am still unsure how to set up the hub-transport for SMTP to relay to the outside for 4 IP addresses (4 copiers).  PLease help.  Thanks.

you need to configure anonymous relay on a receive connector to allow the IP addresses of the copier the permission to relay through the exchange server . http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb232021.aspx
