I sent a message to a contact and i used the receipt of message feature in outlook. The contact got the email some days ago but every few minutes i get an email telling me my email was received by this person. Why is this happening &nbsp;and how can i stop it?

I sent a message to a contact and i used the receipt of message feature in outlook. The contact got the email some days ago but every few minutes i get an email telling me my email was received by this person. Why is this happening  and how can i stop it?
