Sync mobile devices

I need to build a system which will syncronise files between a Windows Mobile device and a server PC.

The files woudl consist of 1 XML file and a serie of image files - I just need to copy then from teh PC to the mobile device and then back again (and in between the mobile device would update them)

I am thinkint to use Microsoft ActiveSync but I dont mind using  a different solution.

I am using C#.NET and Delphi (V7) in making the system so a solution using either technology would be ok but I would prefer Delphi ( as I know it better and the relevant part of the system is Delphi already) but C# would be ok as well.

I dont really know where to start - can anyone assist with This?
