I need to help a customer to collect their cisco switch configurations for a site, and there are a lot of switches.  Can someone suggest a good way (safe too) to do this?

Thank you very much.

Hi,

One expensive way is to use Solarwinds NCM ( Network Configuration Manager) in Orion.

www.solarwinds.com/products/orion/

Free open-source solution is to use Rancid;

If you want to do it manually, then you can use tftp to do so or may be write your own script.
