Registry key missing

I am trying to turn on the Debug Logging for some Folder Redirection issues that I have been experiencing and I have been informed that I need to make some amendments to the registry to perfom this action. I believe that the key that needs to be modified is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Diagnostics, but this appears to be missing from the registry.

Can anyone assist me in either entering this into the registry or suggesting why it might be missing?
1 Solution
  1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
   2. In the left pane, locate and then click the following registry subkey:
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Diagnostics
Note You may have to create the Diagnostics registry subkey.
   3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
