Unable to open Microsoft Management Console, crashes with error
I have installed the Admin Tools pack for Server 2003 on my Windows XP machine. This allows me to use admin features, most importantly the ability to manage active directory users and computers.
Lately, I've encountered difficulty opening the Administrative Tools --> Active Directory Users and Computers. It does not open and gives an error that "Microsoft Management Console has encountered an error and needs to close." Further details, such as error screen caps, are attached.
Normally, when this occurs, restarting the computer has fixed the problem, but that has not worked today. I've restarted, uninstalled, restarted and reinstalled with no luck.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

I'm not sure this is applicable to my issue. I don't set any policies or edit any files. I only open the application so that I may have access to users and computers for when accounts are locked out or need moved/edited.
I don't even know what the Sceregvl.inf file is because I've never seen, used, or even heard of it.
I'm not trying to configure security policy settings, just trying to open the Administrative tool: Active Directory Users and Computers.

I would first try re-registering ADSLDP.DLL
regsvr32 ADSLDP.DLL
if the problem occurs you may want to install MMC 3.0

I am unable to run regsvr32 ADSLDP.DLL, am I doing it right?
I open a command prompt and at the prompt, I'm typing regsvr32 adsldp.dll
The error message I get is attached.

The link I followed says that it's for Windows Server 2003.
Should I install that on my Windows XP; SP3 desktop?

I've installed from the link Admin3K gave me. So far, it is working fine, but it's worked fine before and then stopped working a day later.
For now, it's fine, but I'd like to give it 'til tomorrow morning.
