Best wireless router for under $50?

I'm looking at a few wireless routers for our home. Our computers both have wireless-G connections, but I'm considering upgrading them to N in the future, so I'd like to get a wireless-N router. There are about a million to choose from, and I'd like to spend under $50 total. We'd use it for streaming video from the internet and probably music as well.

Here are a few I'm considering:

Netgear WNR834B Wireless N Router - 270Mbps, 802.11n (Draft N) $35

D-Link DIR-615 IEEE 802.11n (draft) $39

Should I get one of these or something else entirely?

Hi G-Warren,

Both of those products are sufficient for a home network.  The only there is it is always a good idea to keep the NICs and routers in the same family so if you buy the Netgear, try to also buy netgear adapters for the machines.

Depending on your local store's return policy, you could buy one and test it in your home to see if the signal strength is adequate and if not, take it back and exchange it for the other.
