Remove Internet Explorer 8 ReInstall Internet Explorer 7

I have windows 7 build 7068 X64 installed.  It gives me the option to remove IE 8 from the "turn windows features on or off" area.  However, once I do this how do i reinstall IE 7?  I haven't been able to find a version that will install on my version of windows.  I was hoping to find someone who had a link to the version that will.

I'm a web developer and even with "compatibility view"turned on it still doesn't appear how it would in a actual copy of IE 7.

Thanks

none of this gives a solution to installing IE7.  or is that the point, that there is no solution?

Another person asked this same thing about a month or so ago, IE 7 is not compatible with windows 7, as you said the only way to do it is with a VM/VirtualPC install of Vista or XP.

Hi,
you can use microsoft virtual pc instead of vmware it is a good product also and it's free
as said above, you cannot use ie8 on windows 7. Now keep something in mind, miscrosoft has launched the official IE8 release which is available via windows update. That means it will replace IE7 quite quickly so you'd better start getting used to it. The beta had a lot of compatibility problems, the final version is much improved even if it is still not completely perfect as a usual microsoft product.
