UpdatePanel , data loss in textboxes when moved between pages.

Hi Experts,
Please help
I have two pages page1.aspx ( with Grid and Grid has TextBoxes) everything is enclosed in UpdatePanel. I have a button to move to next page (page2.aspx using response.redirect("page2.aspx")....
In page2.aspx ... when i click back button,, the values inside page1.aspx are lost.

can any one suggest me how to do this...

Store the values in session , when you grom Page1 to page2.
Retrieve these values , when you come back to the Page1

No, its going to be a big problem ,,there are lots of variable and values i need to store in session,,, please suggest me another apporach..

You create a serialized class , with its properties signifying value of the variables.
Store the object of the class in the session.
Hence only one session variable will be required.
