Hi,

I am using versions.asmx to retrive different versions of list item. This webservice has method getversions which takes filename as parameter. the filename parameter is of path ListName\ListId. But when i try to put discussion library filepath it gives me SoapServerException. Its details gives me the file path defined does not exist. If anybody has used this web service for discussion to retrieve the versions of discussions and reply then please let me know.

The version.asmx Web Service can only be used to retriev version values of files (i.e. SPFile objects).
If you point it to a Url that is not a file stored in SHarePoint it will raise an error

No standard WebService to my knowledge will give you that information, you can write your own however : http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms464040.aspx
