NIC problem in Vista system

This is a Vista system, and it managed to grab IP from DHCP. But, in command prompt, when I tried to ping default gateway, or other internal IP, it shows : Unable to contact IP driver, error code 5"

Any idea?

It's a driver issue.. download/reload the driver.

Problem resolved msysteriously, by going to Device Manager, disable, and then uninstall the nic.
