I'm using Crystal Reports 12.  I know that it is possible to conditionally format the font size in a report
but what I want to do if a name for example has more than a certain number of characters I want to print in second line
For example, the name MOAHMMED ALBUSAIDI total char allow 8 so the result will be
MOHAMMED
ALBUSAIDI
in the same field

.  Thanks.

By the way I don't want to increase the size of detail section because almost all the  time the field will be enough

One thing to try is to set the field wide enough for you 8 characters then set the CAN GROW property for the field
Right click the field
Click FORMAT FIELD
Click the COMMON TAB
Click the CAN GROW option
