Hello bt1942,

In IE, go to Tools > Internet Options > General tab > Font button.  Note the font type that you are using there.

In Firefox, go to Tools > Options > Content tab.  Under Fonts and Color, select the same font type as IE.  Click OK. Restart Firefox.

Hope this helps!

Did you change the font type in Firefox to Times New Roman or Courier New?  Firefox font is MS Sans Serif.

If you want larger font, by font type in Content tab, select a larger default font, like 18 or 20.
