Intel 965 chipset compatible with Samsung T220

Hi I have a Fujitsu-Siemens notebook (Lifebook 8300) with a Intel 965 Chipset. When I connect a Samsung T220 to the Lifebook I cannot set the resolution higher then 1280*1024. How can I set the resolution higher? I have download the latest drivers.

I must be mistaken but that chipset is not for your GFX is it? Also, there are in fact a number of different types of Intel 965 chipsets out there.. G, P and Q.
Please see here but double check teh one you have first. Also, try and find out what type of GFX card you are using and update it instead. If I am wrong about that please forgive.

I have a Intel® GM965
Did you download and installed drivers in link below?

Yes I have. When I connect my laptop to a Fujitsu Siemens LCD screen I can set the resolution higher then 1280*1024. Is it possible that the Samsung T220 is not compatible with my intel 965 chipset?
Hmmm, I don't know about that. I know that the Samsung can certainly go to a high rez than 1280*1024. Does your GFX setting recognise the Samsung? I mean does it see what type of screen it is and all that? If not then see if you can run the hardware setup wizard for the screen, possibly a missing driver or something.
