Local Printers aren't remapped when using remote desktop

I have a client who uses her home (vista) PC to remote in to her work (XP) pc via remote desktop. For some reason, one of her local printers on her home PC is not mapping over to her remote desktop session on her work PC. One of her printers comes over but the one she wants to print to doesn't. It is a photosmart C5550. I went ahead and downloaded the drivers to her work PC and installed them. I thought that would fix the problem but the printer still does not map over. Any suggestions on what I could do to get this printer to show up within Remote Desktop? Thank you.

Did you try to set that printer (C5550) as default?

When you installed driver on Vista, if you have icon of printer C5550. Remote login into Vista, open Printer C5550 properties, ports, configure the first Inactive TS Port to be the C5550 from XP.  BTW, do you have latest RDP 6x on XP?

It was something with the drivers. I had to connect the printer locally so it pulled the correct drivers down. Once I did that, the printer mapped fine.
