define an empty movie clip in main.swf lets say
 'empty_mc'

empty_mc.loadMovie("popup.swf");
it will then load your popup into main.swf.

on (release) {
getURL ("javascript:NewWindow=window.open('popup.swf','newWin','width=400,height=300,left=0,top=0,toolbar=No,location=No,scrollbars=No,status=No,resizable=No,fullscreen=No');  NewWindow.focus();      void(0);");
