Hi All, since I have to move my Primary Domain Controller to another server and into a colocation, Ive been thinking of migrationg to Win2k8 AD. Now I know nothing about 2k8 so I am asking for people's advice. Is this a complicated or simple solution?

Would I do the same as in a 2k3 migration? Just promote a new DC and move the roles across then demote the original DC?

Can someone whose done this report the complexity of such a migration and whether it is worth it.

Yes it's the same process. Complexity wise not a big deal for something the scale of what it sounds like you're describing.

Okay thanks. All the other servers on the domain, do they need to be taken off and joined again to the new Win 2008 AD?

No - if you just dcpromo the 2008 DC(s) in they will replicate everything.
