Autoarchive is not archiving emails with attachemnts

the title says it all :]
I have the issue with email accounts getting huge i guess like most of us. My problem is that my clients needs instant access to all emails all the time. so i installed sth called attachment striper that removes attachments and cuts the size by a lot but i know it is temp solution.
I didnt want to use autoarchive as i understand it is stored locally and in case of loosing machine u loose archive as well.

My new idea is to autoarchive all the inboxes and has designated machine with all of the accounts on them and in case someone has to check email from the past it would be there - obviously it would be backup. I realize it is not the best solution but i hope you experts would have better one :]

And getting back to the main title problem - my Autoarchive archive all except the emails but leaves the one with attachments in the inbox? whY?

Actually you can auto Archive to an network drive or location.
Its just that Microsoft Does not support psts stored on these locations.
They recommend its stored on the local drive.

A few things you can check:

- make sure you have the latest office SP installed.
-check to see if cached Exchange Mode is on. If it is, turn it off and try again.
- Close Outlook and re-open using
Start>Run>Outlook.exe /safe
Try it here, if it works, its likely there is an Add-in that causing this to happen.

Other wise you can also try the following Command Line Switches.
All starting with Outlook Closed:

Start>Run>Outlook.exe /cleanprofile
Start>Run>Outlook.exe /cleanviews
Start>Run>Outlook.exe /cleanrules

Clean Views and Clean Rules resets any custom views or rules that have been setup that may be preventing the auto archive from archiving the Emails with Attachments. However, all one needs to do is set them back up.
