hi,

i have created an installer for my app and what i want to do is have it show up in the start menu and be able to launch the app from there. i have tried right clicking the application folder within vb and creating a shortcut but this only creates a shortcut to the folder where the exe is.

how do i create a shortcut to run the .exe file?

thanks in advance

From the File System in the the setup project:
Click the User's Program Menu
In the right pane:
Right Click :
Create new Shortcut
Double Click the Application Folder
Select the primary output and name it what you like...
THis will place a short cut in the Programs menu.
You can use this same method to install to the users sdtartmenu...
To add the start menu:
Right click the 'File System on Target Machine' and add special folder - select the one you want.
