Exchange Server Mailbox Store won't mount

I have Exchange 2003 Standard with SP2.  I am unable to Mount the Mailbox Store because I mistakenly changed the permissions on the Security tab and added a "Deny" statement for "Authenticated Users".  I can still get into the perms of the Mailbox Store but it won't accept any changes to fix the problem.  When I say OK I get an error message as follows:

Access Denied
Facility: LDAP Provider
ID No: 80070005
Exchange System Manager

Currently the system is still functioning without the mailbox store mounted.  I have NOT rebooted the server for fear that Exchange won't function.

the above article talks about e2k and public folder store but the dsacls command works for the mailbox store as well
just change the path.

I have seen this article before and have tried it and always get an error that my syntax is wrong.  I'll keep trying.
