How to change the default File +Open location in Acrobat 8 Pro

When I click on File +Open in Acrobat the My Documents windows opens.  Is there a way to change this default to a specific folder or location?  Edit +Preferences does not seem to have the option and I would think it should.

Hi

I agree, there should be an option but A8 hasn't. Have a look at this related answer:
