SSIS - Using Input Paramter for OLE DB Source

Hello Experts.

I have an SSIS Package that is going to select data with an OLE DB Source, execute a bunch of stored procs via an OLE DB Command for each row in the Source record.

The original select statement in the OLE DB Source has a hard-coded paramter (@JobID). I want to make the SSIS package to either look in a text file or even prompt me for the JobID. Eventually I will be launching this from a web page, so I guess I need to know how to pass it down that way too.

To call  a package from an asp website check my blog... there is there an example.
Now, you need to create a SSIS variable to store the parameter... and inside dataflow, you need to add the SSIS parameter to the pipeline (using for example a derived column) and inside OLEDB Command just put the statment EXEC MyStoredProcedure ? and in the mappings tab set the ? to the SSIS Variable.

Yes, I will read your blog and the SSIS variable sounds like the way to go.
